Like every other webmaster I try in this page to pull the water on my mill paddles'wheel as we say in our country ( Italy ).
I wish that this page also helps you ( I've got my return having you reading it presentely ) to take a proper direction on how to basicly step into your products web virtual selling attempt.
My products are my skill in programming JavaScript and PHP , I also manage a deal of Visual Basic a few editors and server configuring code and pretty good Windows98 , "basicly" means here that my marketing is done by essentially only submitting my urls to a few search engines and sectorial professional websites.
...I was a JavaScript client side programmer , and I was desperately looking for valid authentication code , but the more I was searching , more were the gaps I was finding on my way.

I have not yet paid any cash in publicity for any url of mine , the only repayment I have made is subscribing to some search engine Newsletter and I am linking and supporting in return a few links in a lot of pages of mine to such sites. I do not want say with this : "that's it !" as a general policy to suit everybody , but this is my choice and I get reasonable results , if you want to sponsorize your products more incisively than this , there are a lot of offers on search engines' pages. I certainly do not suggest you to stop pay-publicity as I firmely believe that it would not help for one's timesaving pursuing , to stop his own wristwatch . . . ↓
To spare promotion efforts is like to stop the watch to save time !
What Your Products are I don't know , if you haven't any , then you may subscribe to my website and grow the fastest as you can as my best competitor , in a year time , if you have plenty time and willing to sit in front of a pc machine for at least 8 hours a day ...but surely you know that there are other categories and other people and other specialists besides the script-makers and programmers ( ...and more goods to sell than Viagra & Cialis, you will understand in the next few lines what I mean ). The content of the above message is the very best of the spam that I daily receive , I would be delighted to receive 3 message a day like that , instead of 20 to 25 spam e-mail a day all offering Viagra and Cialis, perhaps on top of my e-mail address someone has sold also my birthdate ( I passed my fifties ) and so I am targeted as a possible consumer of Viagra & Cialis , well if I would need them , I would be so irritated against so many bids , that I would buy them at my daughter's very expensive drugstore ! So if you want to incisively website marketing , please do not apply to e-mail spamming , but use the search engines offers. To profit of the hints that I herein try to give , you have then to replace my products with yours on the first place , I hope that for me , you certainly have some ( and so I am not growing up a competitor of mines ).

search engine & formatted form layout : On the first place you better add in your website a few lines code to offer your visitor an handy search engine , better a Meta Search , your visitor should be set at easy to stay on your site , but do not let him to replace your page with his search , so let the search page opening in another window by using target="top" attribute. Tips & Tricks
  • Register for free here and set a link to your website
    • to improve your search engine ranking.
  • Do not repeteadly submit your URL if you see no result you would be spam marked
    ...be patient and wait your weeks for the search engine crawling your urls ! - If ever will happen !
    - How would you know if you may give a second submitting trial ?
    ...I don't have any clue on that , I need your feedback here , maybe just try after a few weeks could be a suggestion !
  • Provide first of all to format properly the html source code of your page to submit
  • Do set properly meta tags at the right place , (...check the code of this page by rightclicking)
  • Set not many keywords to mark your interests to be found
  • Use a description in links by using the tag-attribute "title='...description'"
    nb : if you use an image link the alt="...description" would overwrite title's description
    It is proved that if a search engine is crawling on a link , the title attribute and nearby text is profitable for ranking.
  • Keywords : Just extrapolate words out of the whole page content and do not cheat !
    ...a cheated surfer will be angree on that and will denounce your abuse to the search engine admin.
    I've set the following in the source code between the meta tags of this page :
    website, marketing, php, javascript, cookie, promotion, selling, programming, free, download, programs, editor, program, editors, freeware, client, server, apache, mysql, spam, email, search, engine, metasearch
    Your finders looking for your gadgets should not enter your adult-only-site !
    - If you are marketing for these products set the proper keywords for them !
  • Look after to not set keywords that do not appear in the plain html text ( this would mark your page as spam )
Listings'analysis
Many search engines are not indexing subdomains , let's take the following example :
Consider this string : "Whatever you are looking for your web" ... from :  Whatever you are looking for your web ,
you got a chance to get it right with PHP ,
have a glance to our www.ics-php.com
which appears at these web addresses :  http://www.ics3w.com/ ← this is a domain
...and this are subdomains  →  http://members.xoom.it/ics_php     http://web.tiscali.it/js_php/
... which will hardly be crawled and appear listed in such a search results return
These are the results in   Google   info   metacrawler
Warning : Search Engines are private tools amd they make extra rules on what to deliver to the final user.
...you get results if your page belongs to a top level domain or is engined through a sponsor. However it is also not enough that you have a registered domain , Search Engines do not return all registered domains' home pages , the domain owner has to submit the page for being listed. It also appears that every other search engine has its own criteria and settings by recording text , links' hints and results from other search engines etc. For example www.info.com picks up undoubtfully from Google , but apparently they are not picking up the links listed from www.scriptsearch.com to Google for my urls , they just return the domain www.ics3w.com/ which I have submitted to Google , now if you repeat the same search @ AltaVista you will have no result ranked on top as AltaVista criteria are different and the simple sentence is ranked way down on their listing but if you add "Whatever..."+php+ics , then you get 1st place result as these two words are part of the domain submission text , then the ranking is uprised by the sentence between the quotes.


...follow up your listings
Search engine crawls your site and cache your pages , so if you update your pages you should resubmit , search engines sometimes do re-crawling automatically , but normally they are too busy to pick up more paying customers. I have found results that state my listings @ www.scriptsearch.com to be 6 or 8 urls , actually through the last 12 months I have submitted some more urls

There are 10 listings on 6th June 2004 @www.scriptsearch.com to my name excluding this page that I am going to re-submit to www.scriptsearch.com [ I attempted this it already in June 2004 and again on 14th August 2004 ] so it may be...
...that you will find even more listings on my name increased by the adding of this url.
...so what the metasearch is returning is a quite old cached result.
The search engine that has delivered the outdated results is too busy in strategies to catch paying advertisers ! - And so what ! ?
...I think that the cached pages should be reviewed automatically by search engines on a regular reasonable basis , also on behalf of those who sponsor their rankings and at the end also for the good sake of their own search-engine-reliability.
( e.g. I have modified this page at least 20 times in the last 3 months )
If I am a paying for click shoemaker or scriptmaker ( it doesn't really matter what ...maker I am ) , I must know if my non paying competitor is making more than me or has opened a shop next of my door. Ranking is something , disinformation is something else I believe.
